A patrimony of history, art, and culture. A container full of rituality and tradition. A symphony of sounds, colours, gestures and emotions. In particular, it is an appointment with devotion and faith. This is the penitential procession of the Mysteries, that since 1714, the Brotherhood of the Holy Rosary renews in the city of Bitonto, in the suggestive background of the old town and the nineteenth-century suburb. The eight statues of the procession representing the meditation in the garden of the olive-tree, the scourging, the crowning of thorns, the walk of the cross, the crucifixion, the meeting on the Calvary, the deposition of Jesus Christ and the pain of Maria are inspired to the painful mysteries of the Via Crucis. This rich heritage of faith, history, art and culture continues to enchant and excite the entire city even today to remember every year, renewing its participation, the mystery of the Passion.
