Catalan Passion Plays' Assembly in Sant Hilari Sacalm

On the weekend of the 26th October 2024 the Extraordinary Assembly of the Catalan Federation of Passions took place in Sant Hilari Sacalm, an event that marks the beginning of the 2025 Passions Season, which this year will have more than 70 performances throughout Catalonia.

This meeting brought together representatives of the various passions that are part of the Federation, consolidating a season that is expected to be exciting and full of new features.

The Assembly also served to take stock of the past season and define the lines of action for the new season, while maintaining the objective of continuing to promote and disseminate this cultural and heritage tradition rooted in the territory.

As the main event of the season, on March 1 and 2, 2025, "The Passion of Passions" will take place, a large joint and unique performance that will take place in Montserrat, an emblematic setting for this central event. In addition, this event is part of the celebrations of the Millenary of Montserrat, thus joining a special program of commemorative events for this significant anniversary.

The 2025 Passions Season plans to offer a varied offer of performances throughout Catalonia, with the participation of several companies and groups that will bring new perspectives and approaches to traditional performances.

The passions, which are a unique expression of popular culture, continue to capture the interest of visitors and locals and are presented as an opportunity to enjoy Catalan culture through theater and history.
