The first performance of the passion play of Christ in Kelmis was in 1936. Because of the two world wars, the play was postponed until the Holy Year 1950. ‘Passio-Christi’ wants to touch the emotions of the spectators and transmit the basic Christian religion thoughts.
Through the play, we want to transmit the message of the loving God, as a driving force and support during the course of life.
