Erto (Pordenone)

The Sacred Representation of the Passion and Death of Jesus in Erto (PN) is a centuries-old tradition born as a vow against the plague in the 17th century. Every year, on the evening of Good Friday, the town is transformed into an open-air stage: hundreds of costumed figures reenact the Passion of Christ along the streets, accompanied by evocative lights and music. Interrupted only by the Vajont tragedy, the representation is now preserved by the "Sacra Rappresentazione del Venerdì Santo" Association, which continues to perpetuate this unique event of faith, culture, and community.
